Workshops & Classes

Te Puna Ora | The Well

Our workshops and classes are delivered by Te Puna Ora | The Well — the operational and educational arm of Tangihanawera Pataka. While our store offers premium, small-batch natural wellness products, Te Puna Ora | The Well takes this further by empowering you with the knowledge and skills to create and live naturally yourself.

Onsite & Offsite Delivery

We deliver workshops both from our own space and offsite — travelling to organisations, workplaces, and community groups to bring our programmes directly to you. We regularly work with organisations in areas such as mental health, hauora, and community wellbeing. If you would like us to come to your organisation, get in touch to discuss your needs.

What We Share

Our classes go beyond product-making. We teach a whole-of-home approach to Zero % Waste — using natural ingredients and simple techniques to replace everyday household and personal care products with things you can make yourself, from scratch, at home.

Workshop Topics Include

  • Plant identification and uses.
  • Rongoā principles and practices.
  • Hands-on product making.
  • Natural health and wellbeing.
  • Sustainable living skills.
  • Waste reduction and conscious consumption.
  • Whenua and environmental stewardship.
  • Whakapapa and cultural connection.
  • Shared learning and community connection.
  • Practical skills for everyday life.

Our Approach

Classes are hands-on, small-group, and designed for all levels. Every ākonga (student) leaves with products they've made themselves and the confidence to continue at home.
