About Us
Te Puna Ora | The Well
Tangihanawera Pātaka Collection
Nau mai, haere mai.
At Te Puna Ora | The Well, we acknowledge Ihoa as our foundation and guide. Our work is grounded in faith, whakapapa, and a deep respect for the natural world. We believe wellbeing is strengthened when we live in alignment with our creator, care for our whenua, nurture our whānau, and honour the knowledge entrusted to us through generations.
Te Puna Ora was born from a journey of healing, reflection, and reconnection. Through life's challenges came a renewed understanding of the importance of whenua, mātauranga, whānau, and self-sustainability. What began as a personal journey grew into a wider commitment to support others in restoring and strengthening wellbeing within their own lives and communities.
Our Vision
Restored wellbeing for whānau and communities, through reconnection to whenua, knowledge, and each other.
We believe that lasting wellbeing comes from reconnecting with the things that matter most — our whenua, our relationships, our knowledge, and our sense of belonging.
Our Mission
To deliver kaupapa-led initiatives that strengthen whānau and communities through connection to whenua, knowledge, and each other.
Through products, services, wānanga, education, and community initiatives, we create opportunities for people to learn, grow, reconnect, and thrive.
Our Kaupapa
Ihoa first. Taiao. Whānau. Wellbeing.
These foundations guide everything we do.
We recognise that wellbeing is interconnected. When we strengthen our relationship with te taiao, honour our whakapapa, and support one another, we create stronger whānau and healthier communities.
Our approach is guided by:
- Faith and purpose
- Whakapapa and identity
- Whānau wellbeing
- Tiaki Taiao
- Mātauranga
- Self-sustainability
- Aroha and service
Tangihanawera Pātaka
Tangihanawera Pātaka is our natural wellness range and reflects our commitment to making purposeful use of the resources gifted to us through our whenua.
Many of the plants used in our products are grown, gathered, harvested, and prepared from our own whenua. Guided by Tiaki Taiao and Parakore principles, we strive to reduce waste wherever possible and utilise resources responsibly and respectfully.
Our commitment is simple: to honour what has been provided, utilise it wisely, and share it in ways that support wellbeing.
More Than Products
Te Puna Ora is more than products.
It is a place where people come to reconnect — with whenua, with knowledge, with themselves, and with one another.
Through wānanga, wellness services, practical learning, and community initiatives, we support people to build confidence, strengthen connections, and develop skills that contribute to long-term wellbeing.
We believe mātauranga is not simply learned. It is lived, shared, practised, and passed on.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
- Placing Ihoa at the centre of our work.
- Honouring our whakapapa and those who came before us.
- Supporting restored wellbeing for whānau and communities.
- Caring for and protecting te taiao.
- Reducing waste and utilising resources responsibly.
- Sharing knowledge with integrity and respect.
- Encouraging self-sustainability and practical living.
- Walking alongside others with aroha, humility, and purpose.
